Terms of Service
The terms on which ScopeQS accounts are created, governed, suspended and closed.
Last updated 24 August 2026
Placeholder document. This text describes how the ScopeQS platform actually behaves, but it has not been drafted or reviewed by a qualified lawyer and is not a binding agreement. Replace it with counsel-reviewed terms before taking real customers or real payments.
01Agreement to these terms
These terms apply when you create a ScopeQS account or use the platform. By signing up you confirm that you accept them, and that where you sign up for an organization you are authorized to bind it.
Where an organization is onboarded under a separate signed agreement, that agreement takes precedence over these terms to the extent the two conflict.
02What ScopeQS provides
ScopeQS is a governed quantity surveying, estimation and prequalification platform. Access is offered under three plans, which differ in how an account comes into existence:
- Individual — self-service. The workspace activates immediately on signup, with drawing-based take-off, estimation, preset rates and personal project files.
- Company — provisioned by ScopeQS. A tenant is created only after commercial intake, verification, commercial clearance and controlled onboarding, and is activated manually by a platform administrator.
- Enterprise — inquiry only. Enterprise requests are recorded and handled outside the platform until a tenant is provisioned.
03Accounts, roles and authority
Company tenants operate under a governed role model. Creating an account and granting a business role are deliberately separate acts: an administrator may create an account and send an invitation, but the role remains pending until a holder of an authorizing role confirms it. Certain roles are limited to a maximum number of simultaneous holders, enforced by the platform.
You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity carried out under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.
04Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the platform. In particular, you must not:
- attempt to access another tenant's data, or probe or circumvent the isolation between tenants;
- upload material you have no right to upload, or that infringes another party's rights;
- interfere with the operation of the service, or attempt to defeat the audit trail;
- resell or provide access to the platform to a third party except as permitted by your plan.
05Your content and your data
Drawings, bills of quantities, rates, project records and other material you upload remain yours. You grant ScopeQS only the licence needed to host, process and display that material in order to operate the service for you.
ScopeQS retains ownership of the platform itself, including the role catalogue, department structures, preset rate books and governance model supplied with it.
06Fees and payment
Paid plans are billed as described at the point of purchase. Payment processing is not yet enabled on this deployment; where a plan is shown as payable, no charge is taken until a payment provider is configured and the price is presented to you before purchase.
07Availability and support
We aim to keep the platform available, but it is provided without any uptime guarantee unless a separate agreement states otherwise. Maintenance, provider incidents and dependency failures can interrupt access.
08Suspension
A tenant may be suspended for non-payment, for a breach of these terms, or where continued use presents a risk. A suspended tenant becomes read-only rather than dark: existing records remain visible for a cure period so nothing is lost while the matter is resolved, but no new records can be written.
09Termination and deletion
You may stop using the platform at any time. Tenant deletion is a controlled action requiring approval by two separate platform administrators, and each approval is recorded.
Governed records are deactivated or archived rather than erased, and audit entries are never deleted or edited — including by us. Retention is described in the privacy policy.
10Disclaimers and liability
ScopeQS supports quantity surveying and estimation work; it does not replace professional judgement. Quantities, rates and estimates produced through the platform remain your professional responsibility, and you are expected to check them before relying on them commercially.
To the extent permitted by law, the platform is provided as-is, and ScopeQS is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue or anticipated savings.
11Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform develops. Material changes will be notified to account holders, and the date at the top of this page will change.
12Governing law
The governing law and forum for disputes are to be set by the operating entity before these terms are relied upon. This placeholder does not state a jurisdiction.
